4.       Phone in advance to reserve a crib in the hotel to ensure it’s there when you get there encase your child is sleepy right away. You absolutely do not want a child who is ornery from lack of sleep on your hands. This way, everything is ready for the little fellow when sleep comes calling.

5.       If you have a mobile that your child is used to in his/her nursery, consider bringing that with you to connect to the hotel baby crib’s rail, so your little one has something that’s familiar in the unfamiliar environment.

6.       Ask questions about the baby cribs such as: how are they are cleaned immediately after they’re used, what type of finish do they have, how old are the mattresses etc…  Don’t be afraid to ask; this is your child and you are not about to take a risk with the safety of him or her.

One of the biggest worries when a mom to be is preparing for baby is the baby’s room. Having the proper baby furniture and bedding is essential. But, what do you need and what isn’t necessary?
