Losing Pregnancy Weight- Creating Habits

Pregnancy in general can be quite stressful on a womens’ body and not just physically. Your hormones are raging, you are tired, crying at the drop of a dime, always hungry, indigestion, your cravings are out of control and a on top of it all, you get to witness your body going though some particular unpleasant changes, which leads to the following questions. “What can you do to start losing pregnancy weight” and ” How can you possibly survive 9 months of pregnancy unscathed?”

Pre-Planning!

Pre-panning for your pregnancy is your best option for survival, and will make the world of difference, not only to your body but it will alleviate a ton of stress too. It’s not just what you do after pregnancy that will determine your post baby state but also what you do before and througout that will make the difference.

Ask yourself the following questions:

How active are you?
How often?
Are you stretching?
What are your eating habits?
Do you eat all three meals or are you skipping breakfast?
Do you have hobbies or tasks that fill your spirit?
Do you laugh often or do you seem stressed a lot of the time?
On a Scale of 1-10 where would you say you sit with your daily stress levels?

Create the right habits and you can succeed at anything!

Some habits are hard to break while others are difficult to instill. Either way you cut it, creating the right kinds of habits will help you immensely on your journey to becoming a new mom, as well as how to cope with your new life. With regards to pregnancy specifically; Create as many good habits as you can before you even get pregnant, it will make it so much easier to continue with those habits throughout your pregnancy and after. Remember this, your entire life will change after you give birth. Is that really the time you want to be stressing about completley changing your diet to try and get healthy for you and your baby? HELL NO, that needs to start earlier than that!

Also consider this, a healthy momma will generally have a healthy baby and that fact holds true right through untill the breast feeding comes to a stop. Perhaps even longer as the knowledge you will discover about your own health will help you set your child on the right path to a healthy lifestyle.

Believe me, in such an emotional state you do not want to be rethinking everything you’re putting in your mouth because whatever you eat you are also feeding your baby. Think about that the next time you grab that stuffed croissant. Imagine fork feeding it right into your baby’s little mouth. They don’t know any better but you do.

This is particularly helpful with the dreaded post pregnancy weight that every new mom faces. On average, most women who are unprepared for their pregnancy end up putting on way too much weight during their pregnancy and then have to work even harder to get it off afterwards. Many moms’ will  say forget it and give up before even trying. Sometimes they end up convincing themselves that they don’t care and that they’re fine with their new bodies. Or maybe they spend a few months, maybe even years battling that weight and trying desperately to get back to their pre-baby shape but they just cannot get there. After all, it is much harder to lose weight after you have had a baby, and this is especially true for moms’ having babies into their 30′s and 40′s after their metabolism has slowed right down. And yes, it does just keep slowing with age which means it will only get harder and harder for you to lose that weight.

#1 Habit to create- Make diet and excersise a priority now!

We hear these two phrases all the time yet for some reason people still don’t get it. This statement is true for most people but the the variation in diet and exercise is very different if you are a soon to be mom. Now you must also consider things like:

Special diet requirements to make sure your baby will get the nutrients it needs
Know what foods need to be avoided
Know what exercises you can and cannot do
How much is too much? How much is safe?
How soon after delivery can you start to get back into your regular fitness routine?

These are all very important questions that you need to ask yourself if you are planning a pregnancy and if you are planning on getting pregnant in the near future, now is the time to start planning – NOT once you’ve seen the positive sign on your pregnancy test.

So, what can you do right now to plan for the big day? Start creating your habits now!

Baby Names Ideas

Are you expecting a baby? There are many questions and concerns that come with expecting a baby. As you and your spouse are ready for this? Are you ready to make another person in this world? How do I go to the actual date of birth? What names to give your child?

Indeed, the last question of the main areas of interest to parents. The name you normally do not have a lot to create an impression on you. A good boy or girl name usually gives the opportunity for many people as child and secondly, a name that is not considered good works in general to the detriment of the child.

There are a number of factors you should consider before selecting potential names boy or girl names for your child. One thing you have to consider, for example, the ethnicity of the child and family. What are some of the names used in your tribe? What is the determining factor as to what name to give to whom?

Some cultures have a method of appointment. For example, the first child born is the name of his father’s father. This means that if you are in a tribe and be careful, you do not have to actually see the scale of the baby names. These tribes have also identified ways of naming a child.

Far from the earth cultural and ethnic background, it is also the fact that there are meanings that are associated with different names boy or maiden name. Therefore, the child is given a name according to the most wanted things his parents want him to be associated. A pair of meanings baby boy names is important supplanting Jacob, Ethan powerful way, Alexander is to defend the men, Joshua means “God saves, Christopher means bearer of Christ, etc. As for baby names, names like Emma sense Isabelle contain all means my God is a promise, not rival Emily, etc.

In most cases, people just throw the name without regard to any of these factors. They name their children names they can find the most appropriate and beautiful. If someone, for example, has grown fond of the name as “Mike”, it is likely that your child has a name, that individual will receive.

Babies, like other names also need a second. In most cases, it is another name for the baby automatically from the name, which is always the father’s name. When a family name not be used, is a name that sticks to the culture of the child to be used. This applies primarily in infants with an origin that is not Western, where people give their children a name that identifies a particular culture.

Consider The Safety Of Your Baby First

Baby has many needs at their very young age. Because your baby largely depends on you, as a parent, attending to those needs should be taken care of. Secondary to the biological needs of your baby –food, water, air, sleep, and rest – safety and security should also be provided and be considered very important. Although safety and security is just next to the biological needs, sometimes, safety and security needs should be given a keener attention than the biological. This does not apply at all the times though, however, there are certain situations that you are required to focus on first.

Every time you hear your baby cry, you immediately responds to him because it may mean that he is hungry. So you give him a bottle of milk instantly to calm him. This is the most common communication of the baby to tell his parents or nanny that he needs to be fed and usually this is the response to his weeping. But not all the time crying means hunger. At times it can convey that there is something wrong with him. Maybe he is hurt or there is something painful but he just can not tell you so. That is why, as a mother, father, or as a nanny who is taking care of the baby, you must be sensitive or skillful enough to know if there is anything going on that is not right so that an appropriate solution will be applied right away or any further complications will be prevented.

In building a nursery room for your baby, make sure that you have planned it very carefully. The size, paint, furniture, toys, bedding, bottles, and decorations should be chosen carefully to ensure safety to your baby. The size of the nursery room should be wide as much as possible to allow you to move more comfortably inside while doing stuff with your baby. The paint must also be given attention, not basically the color, but the harmful chemicals in it that can put your baby’s respiratory health at stake when diffused in the air and inhaled. The furniture, most especially the crib, must be free from any sharp and pointed objects to prevent cuts or any accident it can cause. The edges should be smooth to allow extra comfort for you and your baby. The bedding are also very important to be checked before laying you baby on because it where your baby’s skin is directly confined on to it. Although it can seldom happen, it is still essential that you check the bedding for needles and pins that might have been left from the factory. When placing toys around the crib, see to it that the buttons or the eyes of the dolls are intact as it may choke your baby when swallowed. The nipples and the bottles used when feeding your baby must be clean. It is important that they are sterilized before using to prevent any harmful bacteria that may cause disease. And of course, the decorations that you would like to add must be properly placed or hanged on the wall.

Not only biological things are needed by your baby to achieve optimum health and wellness in his life but also safety and security. There are other things that your baby needs to achieve as he grows up. So to step on the highest level of his dreams in the future, give him only the best care that only you can offer. By providing him sound nursery room with harmless decors, he can have the amount of time needed for rest. Only healthy foods, safe clothes, blankets, and toys should be given. Because the way you care for him is the symbol of your love can never be measured by anyone else.

Three Must-Have Pieces of Baby Furniture

It is no secret that having an infant is incredibly expensive and only gets more expensive as the children grow older. When parents-to-be find out that they are pregnant they want to ensure that their child has everything imaginable for their nursery. Unfortunately this is not always financially feasible so it is important that parents pick and choose what they buy with caution as to not overspend or buy inexpensive, but unsafe items to save money.

There are a few items that every family should purchase for their new child to make certain that their child is coming home to a prepared home. While some of these items may seem expensive, some of them are also inexpensive and you can purchase cheaper brands or find them discounted online.

The first item that a parent should purchase is a crib or a bassinet, while there are pros and cons to both of these items the decision is ultimately up to what is best for the parents and their baby. It is important that a crib or bassinet be bought new as used cribs can be broken down from years of use. The one time that a parent isn’t constantly watching their newborn is when it is sleeping, so a reliable and safe crib should be purchased to ensure safety.

A parent should also own a high chair to make feeding time easier. In the early months of life a parent will more than likely hold the child for feedings but as they get older feeding a child in a high chair is much easier and safe than feeding at a table built for adults. When purchasing a high chair it is important to find a modern one made out of durable, and easy to clean plastic. If a used high chair is bought parents must make sure that the chair has not been recalled and that none of the plastic is cracked or broken with sharp edges.

Finally an excellent item for any household with a new infant to have is a baby swing. There are times when a parent is unable to hold a child and an infant swing is an alternative that will keep the child safe. The swing will not only keep an infant safe but it will also be an enjoyable and soothing activity for the infant. Infant swings may be purchased use as long as they are thoroughly inspected and well-built.

Obviously, this list does not cover every piece of baby furniture that parents will need for bringing home baby, but it is a start. While shopping parents should purchase only the safest and most reliable items for their child. If unsure parents may turn to consumer reviews for products they are considering purchasing.
